the Iron Curtain
When I first started out at OU, I only knew two things - I loved learning more about the world around me, and I wanted to see more of it.
It took me my entire freshman year, but I finally decided to devote the rest of my college career to Global Studies: War and Peace. In order to graduate, I needed language credits, and I wanted to do something unique, so I chose Russian.

Two years later and I've fallen in love with the language, culture, and history of Russia. This blog is to keep track of my experiences leading up to, during, and after I spend a semester living in St. Petersburg.
